Thanksgiving and Gratitude

As we start the celebration of the Thanksgiving holiday in the U.S., we are thankful to our family and friends and all those who make our lives meaningful. We are also grateful for how fortunate we are to have food on the table, clothes to wear and a warm bed to sleep in. We often take for granted how many people really impact our lives. In fact we don’t even know the vast majority of them.

Author A.J. Jacobs embarked on a project to thank everyone involved with making his morning coffee and that turned out to be over a thousand people!

This inspirational and entertaining story has a very positive message. As you thank people this weekend, think of gratitude as a spark to action. A.J. Jacobs says there is research that the more grateful you are, the more likely you are to pay it forward and help others.

In these difficult times, we all need to pay it forward.
